Our next semi-annual Troop election is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 15, at the Scout meeting. Troop Leadership Positions are one of the requirements of the Star, Life, and Eagle ranks. These positions are Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Quartermaster, Scribe, Historian, Chaplain's Aid, Den Chief, Troop Guide, OA Troop Representative, Troop Webmaster (new for 2010), Leave No Trace Trainer (new for 2010), and Junior Assistant Scoutmaster.
Our Troop does not have a Librarian because we do not have a Library.
Here's how to be considered for a position. First read the job descriptions, qualifications, and job responsibilities. Then decide what you want to do and talk it over with your parents. You can also talk it over with other Scouts who have served in that position. Finally, get a troop leadership application form, fill it out, have your parent(s) read and sign it and turn it in. The leadership application forms should be turned in no later than the next Scout meeting on Monday, Feb. 8.
